Went for a spin with Harry my pilot near Montreal in Canada. We did some difficult double loops and somersaults. Harry told me later that I was the only woman he flew with who did not scream and squeal. Ha!

We had a great time in Mumbai. Elizabeth made it really memorable by serving us some great food and wine at her place. And finally, wound it up by playing soulful music on her piano.

Elizabeth, my friend celebrated her birthday in a unique way. She took us on a walking tour from VT to Flora Fountain. She even arranged for us to meet the now famous dabbawallas of Mumbai.

Kavaledurg Fort Palace is an amazing place to visit on an weekend. It has several fresh water ponds and a well preserved bathing pool. It is a historical marvel in the sense, you will never find it till you stumble on it through a narrow path amongst well cultivated paddy fields. The Keladi Nayaks used it as a secret hide-out and guarded it well.

Green snake encounter at Kaveledurg Fort in Karnataka

Kaveledurg Fort is one of the most beautiful forts I have been to in recent years. The Keladi Nayaks fortified this fort and used it as a hideout against enemies. It's a great place for trekking but definitely not to be used as a picnic spot as it is a historical marvel and needs to be respected as such.  I spotted this green snake just a few inches from my foot on my way down and mistook it for a plant.
