Kaveledurg Fort is one of the most beautiful forts I have been to in recent years. The Keladi Nayaks fortified this fort and used it as a hideout against enemies. It's a great place for trekking but definitely not to be used as a picnic spot as it is a historical marvel and needs to be respected as such. I spotted this green snake just a few inches from my foot on my way down and mistook it for a plant.
